Resumo: The present research in visual poetics aims at the construction of a series of works that are situated within the language of contemporary painting, with a proposal that starts from the materiality of carbon steel, as support and work, exploring the chromatic possibilities inherent to this material and its oxidation. The theme here is urban, with huge monochrome, monotonous and gray cities. Being the process of creating this work as important as its result, this research is based on studies on the process of creation, creativity and genetic criticism.
