This present research has as study about the street dwellers of Ituiutaba city – MG. The field research was realized on Casa de Maria Nossa Senhora das Graças locate in Ituiutaba – MG, with three people from this social group. The purpose was recognize the factors that led this population to make the street their dwelling, and also sought to know the survival strategies in the streets, to point out the main difficulties faced. In order to reach these objectives, the exploratory research was carried out, using bibliographical and field research as a procedure. The bibliographic research was carried out from books, magazines, articles and electronic media. In order to perform the field research, the interview was chosen based on a structured form with open questions, focusing on the subjects' speech and also on the theoretical reference used to conceptualize the street population. Then a qualitative approach was used to analyze the data collected.
