In a reality where companies from different segments are pressured by the market to seek an operational performance of excellence, daily routine management (GRD) is one of the means to achieve this objective. Specifically, the implementation of management practices in the operation during the GRD is important for the company's results to be achieved and, subsequently, maintained. Thus, this work seeks to describe the implementation of the respective practices in the operation throughout a consulting project carried out in a Brazilian mining company, conceptualizing through the problem solving method - SDCA - and fundamentals widely disseminated in Brazilian and world literature. During the work, 6 steps were established to be carried out: first, there was the definition of performance indicators; in the second moment, there was the implementation of the management frameworks in sight; in the third moment, there was standardization; in the fourth moment, there was training in patterns; in the fifth moment, there was the application of the operational work diagnosis; and, finally, there was the treatment of anomalies. After that, the results achieved by the company are presented, aiming to measure the progress made. More than 700 indicators were defined and/or reviewed, more than 200 standards were created and/or updated, about 1600 training courses were implemented, more than 724 operational work diagnoses were applied, in addition to the structuring of approximately 60 results evaluation meetings.
