Resumo: The main objective of this study is focused on the general analysis of compressors, aiming the replacement of general alternative piston compressors for the screw type compressor. The current world industry scenario has shown a great demand for compressed air, so the viability of the economic use of this type of energy is of great importance. The work comprises the general analysis of replacement, studies were carried out and the main aspects to be adopted for the replacement of such compressors were found. After that, previous works were used to prove, with data, the advantages of changing compressors. From that point, it is possible to conclude that screw type compressors have a greater economic viability and greater performance than the other compressor in comparison. Furthermore, the project intends a future experimental analysis, to compare the actual results with a conclusion of this study. This work is a reference for all who wish to make such a replacement.

O cenário da indústria mundial atual vem demonstrando uma grande procura por ar comprimido, assim a viabilidade da utilização econômica deste tipo de energia é de grande importância. O trabalho é composto pela análise geral de substituição, foram realizados estudos e encontrados os principais aspectos a serem avaliados para a troca de tais compressores. Depois disso, trabalhos anteriores foram utilizados para comprovar, com dados, as vantagens da troca dos compressores. A partir deste estudo conclui-se que os compressores do tipo parafuso apresentam uma maior viabilidade econômica e maior desempenho que o outro compressor comparado. Ademais, o projeto propõe uma análise experimental futura, para comparação dos resultados reais com a conclusão deste estudo.
