This article aims to get to know the profiles of academic studies published in the agribusiness area in the last two decades and to map the scientific production on agribusiness innovation in national and international journals, from 2000 to 2022. proposed, a mapping of the scientific production of articles published in the Science Direct and Web of Science databases was carried out. For this purpose, a descriptive exploratory research methodology with a quantitative character was used. In the mapping, 98 scientific articles were identified. The relevance of this investigation permeates the fact that agribusiness is one of the main themes addressed in the academic-scientific environment in Brazil, especially with regard to innovation in the sector. It is concluded that agribusiness has shown great innovation in the technological field, as well as in the modification of the management of techniques used. It is suggested the analysis of national journals to understand the topics addressed and the research processes. In addition, it is proposed to carry out research aimed at small rural producers in less assisted regions of Brazil, and methods to help them with regard to the implementation of new technologies and access to information.
