The production of ethanol, sugar, fuels and bioenergy from sugarcane have fundamental importance in the development of agribusiness. Therefore, to meet the market demand it is essential to manage the agricultural production of this raw material, from the soil preparation process until the post-harvest. That way, the application of the concepts of planning, scheduling and production control are essential for the company to produce in the right quantity and at the right time, without disregarding its capacity constraints. Given the above, the present work aims to analyze the process of planning, scheduling and production control (PSPC) of a sugar cane agro-industry, in order to improve adherence to the production plan. As methodological procedure it was carried out a case study of qualitative nature, structured in the following steps: i) understand the process of planning, scheduling and production control established by the company; ii) evaluate how the process was executed by the managers; iii) identify the bottlenecks; iv) implement improvements to increase the adherence of planned and executed. The results showed that through the implemented improvements it was possible to follow the PSPC process defined by the company, with an estimated improvement of the adherence indicator in approximately 40%.
