Resumo: The concrete awnings structures are cantilevered slabs, which project beyond the main volume of the buildings; and, assuming its main function to protect users from bad weather. Thus, it is essential to understand and study the anomalies surrounding this structural typology, taking into account its constructive method and attributions. In this work, concepts regarding pathologies in reinforced concrete are approached, in a general scope, for any element, analyzing the pathological origins in the stages of conception, execution and structural maintenance. Consecutively, it is evaluated as the main pathological manifestations observable in concrete awnings. In addition, a case study was carried out in five awnings in the city of Uberlândia-MG, which goal waas mapping and inspecting pathological events and their causes, providing a statistical analysis of the occurrences, allowing an association of events. The results obtained show a clear neglect related to the elements of awnings, both in the design stage, as well as in the execution and maintenance of these structures.

Neste trabalho, abordam-se conceitos a respeito de patologias em concreto armado, em um âmbito geral, para qualquer elemento, analisando as origens patológicas nas etapas de concepção, execução e manutenção estrutural. Consecutivamente, avaliam-se as principais manifestações patológicas observáveis em marquises. Além disso, realizou-se um estudo de caso, em cinco marquises da cidade de Uberlândia-MG, com o objetivo de mapear e inspecionar os eventos patológicos e suas causas, propiciando uma análise estatística das ocorrências, permitindo a associação dos acontecimentos.
