Resumo: Ameloblastoma is a lesion of the jaws that despite its benign nature is locally invasive, progressive and expansive growing with a tendency to relapse when not treated properly. The conventional variant represents approximately 85% of the cases, most frequently in the mandibular body and branch region, evidencing multilocular radiolucent aspects and not demonstrating sex predilection. This paper reports the case of a 37-year-old female patient who was referred to the stomatology clinic by a recent graduate student of the Faculty of Dentistry of the Federal University of Uberlândia (FOUFU). The extraoral examination showed a slight asymmetry on the right side of the patient and intraorally a volumetric increase was seen along the lower molars of this side with dental displacement. In the imaging examinations, an aggressive osteolytic lesion was observed reabsorbing the roots of the teeth 46 and 48, with basilar reabsorption and peripheral bone expansion. The propaedeutic conducts were conducted and the diagnosis obtained by microscopy was Ameloblastoma of the plexiform type. The patient was submit to the appropriate surgery and waits for the moment of bone grafting for proper rehabilitation.
