This study aimed to describe the step-by-step process of making a mandibular overdenture prosthesis on two tooth roots, retained by a clip-bar type system. Male patient, 81 years old, attended the integrated clinic of the Faculty of Dentistry of the Federal University of Uberlândia complaining that his lower prosthesis was not retentive and was also hurting. Elements 33 and 43 were already endodontically treated. Then the canals were relieved and their root canals molded. Subsequently, the bar clip system was installed under the prosthesis that the patient was already using. In the end, the clip was captured and the overdenture was installed. As a result, through the installation of the overdenture with the bar clip system, it was possible to achieve a rehabilitative treatment with better masticatory function, aesthetics and, mainly, with more retention and less pain, which were the complaints reported by the patient. Upon completion of the treatment, the patient was grateful and satisfied with the rehabilitation process. The use of full root overdentures is a viable treatment modality for patients who have satisfactory endodontic treatments. A complete clinical examination and good planning from the first consultation with the patient are fundamental for the success of rehabilitation processes and for the manufacture of overdentures with retentive quality that restore masticatory, aesthetic and phonetic function.
