Resumo: During a significant period of human life, the school building can be considered to be an integral part of daily existence. The architectonic type represented by public schools has undergone very little change over the years; very often, the school model disclosed by the state government does not satisfactorily meet current pedagogical needs, solely serving to reproduce merely functional buildings that have no influence on the process of educating children and adolescents. The proposed study is theoretically based on the topic of school architecture, aiding in the development of the architectonic project of a teaching institution that provides the necessary conditions for learning and stimulates the daily experiences and discoveries of the infantjuvenile public.

A tipologia arquitetônica escolar pública não se alterou consideravelmente ao decorrer dos anos, o modelo de escolas padrão difundido pelo governo estadual, muitas vezes, não atende satisfatoriamente às necessidades pedagógicas da atualidade, atuando na reprodução de edifícios meramente funcionais que não influenciam no processo educacional de crianças e adolescentes.
