Resumo: The common bean (Phaseolus vulgaris) is one of the most economically and socially important legumes produced in the world. Its nutritional composition makes it even more popular, containing high levels of protein, carbohydrates, vitamins and fiber. It is a herbaceous plant that can grow determinate or indeterminate, with branched roots that reach up to 40cm deep. Among the challenges for its cultivation is the constant search for genetic characteristics such as tolerance to water deficit, pests and diseases, greater productivity, among others. The aim of this study was to evaluate the agronomic performance of common bean genotypes, of the normal black group, during the rainy season in Uberlândia-MG. The experiment was conducted in 2022 at the Água Limpa Experimental Farm, belonging to the Federal University of Uberlândia, with geographical coordinates 48°21'04" W latitude and 19°06'09" S longitude. The study was conducted using a randomized block design (RBL) with 10 treatments, 3 replications and 30 plots in total. Each plot was divided into 4 lines 4 meters long, with 0.5m spacing between them, giving a total area of 8m². Twelve seeds were sown per linear meter, giving a total of 48 seeds in each planting line and 192 seeds per plot. Harvesting took place between stages R8 and R9, considering only the two central rows, the other two being considered borders. The characteristics analyzed were pods per plant, grains per pod, mass of 100 grains (g) and yield (kg ha-1 ). All the data obtained was subjected to analysis of variance using the F test and the Skott-Knott test with a significance level of 5% was used to compare the means. It can be concluded that the BRS FP403, CNFP17973 and BRS FP417 genotypes were superior to the others and to the control, while the CNFP18552, CNFP17968 and BRS FP403 genotypes were superior to the others, including the control, for 100-grain mass (g), the genotypes BRS FP403, CNFP17979, IPR URUTAU, BRS FP417, CNFP18552, CNFP17968, CNFP17978, CNFP17984 stood out as superior to the others, including the control IPR UIRAPURU, while for Productivity (kg ha-1) the genotypes CNFP17973 and BRS FP403 stood out as superior to the others, but did not differ from the control IPR Uirapuru.
