Resumo: | The industries are responsible for the consumption of a large part of the electrical energy generated in the world. Within the industries, the main destination for this energy is the electric motor, which is present in the most diverse manufacturing processes. Therefore, developing more efficient motors contributes directly to reducing the use of natural resources of the planet. In this context, the switched reluctance motor has emerged as an alternative for several applications in the industrial sector, mainly those that demand operations at high and variable speeds. This type of motor has a simple construction, is very robust and allows the variation of speed through its drive system with high efficiency. Given the high technical and economical potential of it, in this paper the design of an 8/6 switched reluctance motor is carried out following procedures developed by consolidated references. To validate the project, simulations are performed using a finite element software, which makes it possible to visualize the magnetic flux distribution in the motor structure and also to survey its characteristic curves. |
