The purpose of this work is understand the government of Juscelino Kubitschek (1956-1961) mobilized a Brazilian artistic movement, taking advantage of the modernist current in the 1950s to publicize and increase the country's international visibility through Cultural Diplomacy on the Independent Foreign Policy and the Pan-American Operation. The research is an extension of the investigations into the concepts of art and Cultural Diplomacy in International Relations, an expansion of Juscelino Kubitschek's government, an analysis of the modernist current and a JK government association to art and Cultural Diplomacy. The work will be conducted through the qualitative methodology, through observation and analysis. The method of control is historical, already analyzed in the government of Juscelino Kubitschek (1956-1961) and a Brazilian art for the promotion of Brazil internationally. This research works with a hypothesis of a mobilization of the Brazilian cultural artistic movement for an international promotion of the country. The international dissemination of cultural and artistic manifestations, through Cultural Diplomacy, contributed to the realization of the Brazilian and Latin American development project, together with a greater acquisition acquired by Brazil in the International System.
