Reabilitação estética do sorriso com laminados cerâmicos minimamente invasivos: relato de caso

The constant search for a harmonious and aesthetic smile raises the level of demand and expectation of patients. In order to achieve results with high predictability and longevity, the implementation of multidisciplinary interventions is indispensable to reestablish the harmony of the smile. The objective of this case study is to report multidisciplinary treatment with the association of periodontal surgery and the manufacture of ultra-thin ceramic laminates in CAD-CAM at the harmonization of smile. Patient M.C.B.M., female, 21, presented herself dissatisfied with the smile. Upon clinical examination, it was observed an inappropriate gingival contour and teeth with size, shape and presence of spots on the vestibular surface of the upper anterior teeth. Initially the patient was submitted to gingival plastic to increase clinical crown. Afterwards, dental bleaching, molding for mock-up in bis-acrylic resin and minimally invasive preparation were performed on the elements 13,12,11,21,22,23 with a 118-blade drill. The molding was done with silicone by addition, the cast model with special plaster and later the scanned was done in the prosthetic laboratory by the CAD/CAM system. The blocks reinforced by lithium disilicate were milled to make the ceramic laminates, which were submitted to the cutback technique. After testing using try-in paste for cement color selection, the laminates were cemented with photoactivated resin cement. At the end of the rehabilitation, the patient showed satisfaction with the new smile with increased self-esteem and well-being. It is concluded that adequate integral planning and interrelationship between the areas of dentistry are fundamental for success in periodontal and restorative procedures.
