Resumo: Tourism is considered to be a social production phenomenon and structuring the proposals as an alternative to the conventional method requires a construction of processes which are more autonomous and that really go through the power into territorial field to make decisions and to articulate the confidence relationship what justifies its relevance so that the feeling of community is kept with the focus on the social well-being, on the environment matters and that it makes possible the sharing at an “integrated experience” in the place. With this view, this study had as its goal to analyse “São Jorge Village”, nestled in Alto Paraíso de Goiás, through its inhabitants’ way of life, its relationship with the place and the cultural and socioeconomic conditions in relation to their participation in tourism practice that comes after the creation of National Park (PARNA) of Chapada dos Veadeiros, understanding the condition of the receptive community toward the tourist activity in creative experiences. As an investigative course, it was used a qualitative approach, interviews and questionaries as well as mental maps preparation having the inhabitants and tourists as subjects. It was concluded that the tourism in the Village has gone through transformations since its structuring and that made it more distant to the initial proposal and affecting the traditions and major activities of the Village’s inhabitants. The place of the Village is organized to support the development of tourist activity and it depends on that but there’s still a need of a bigger articulation from community on behalf of an integrated project once by tourism the locals establish a new way of life and try to preserve the local identity and the social and environmental relationships established. Among the big representation and diversity of local culture found at the community shown at parties, meetings and its religiosity, it is useful to use the places particularities to improve tourism having as an example the creative one. Going further than the diffusion as a touristic destination that holds the entrance of PARNA and also strengthen it by using reflexions that the singularities that the Village has got to offer the tourist we realized a lack in the process of value addition through collective construction considering that there are isolated creative actions. This way, it was made a preliminary study of “Creative Map: São Jorge Village and its particular way”- coming from the results of the analysis of the mental maps created by the community with new and creative actions which intend to strengthen the visitor’s experience.
