The research tried to build a dialogue between art and society, having the play: Sete Minutos as the object of study, written and starred by Antonio Fagundes in 2002. In this contract, three niches of the debate are settled: reception, staging and theatrical text. At first, the questions were directed by the speeches prepared by the critics, taking into account both their form and content. This first investigative movement subsidized the confrontation in the second chapter, between the reception and weave of the theatrical text, in order to understand which textual elements are highlighted and / or deleted by journalists. Finally, the object of analysis becomes the DVD of the show, not only as a record of the staging of Seven Minutes, but as na autonomous work made from the publishing of Antonio Carlos Rebesco. Therefore, we have analyzed the production of this DVD, so that once it was done, the focus could turn to the scenario provided by it. So, it starts from the assumption that the present time can also be defined as a field of research for the historian, which makes it crucial to understand it within their specificities.
