Resumo: | The prefabricated posts made of fiber material are indicated for a rehabilitation of endodontically treated teeth with little dental remnant, and the use of posts that guarantee an adaptation to the conduit is a suitable trend. The aim of this study was to evaluate different and compare the bond strength of types of pins in different types of conduit. For this study, 40 bovine teeth of similar anatomical size and shape were used. The properties were offered in four groups (n=10 each). Two types of post (Exacto and Splendor) were used in two types of conduit (enlarged and non-enlarged roots). Root canals were instrumented to their full length using nº2 and 3 Gates-Glidden drills (Dentsply Maillefer, Ballaigues, Switzerland) and in the cervical and middle third a Gates Glidden drill number 4 (Dentsply Malleifer) was also used. For each group, a specific drill was used for each pin system used. For cementation, all samples were cemented with self-adhesive dual resin cement and application was performed using automix tips and endo tips. All roots were sectioned in the coronal and middle thirds with a thickness of 1 mm. The push-out bond strength test (PBS) was performed in a universal testing machine (EMIC). Resistance values were recorded and data were analyzed by repeated measures ANOVA and Tukey's test. Results: The bond strength of the samples showed a statistical difference between the groups only in the cervical third, and the exact group in non-widened conduit showed lower bond strength values compared to the other groups. Between cervical, middle and apical thirds no significant difference (P=0.153) was found. Conclusion: The groups using posts with fiberglass gloves had similar results to conventional fiberglass posts relined with resin, which may be associated with amounts of reinforcing material mainly in the cervical region. While in relation to the middle and apical thirds, the materials and substrates used had no significant effect on the bond strength. |

O objetivo deste estudo foi avaliar e comparar a resistência de união de diferentes tipos de pinos em diferentes tipos de conduto. Para este estudo foram utilizados 40 dentes bovinos de tamanho e formato anatômico semelhantes. As amostras foram divididas em quatro grupos (n= 10). Foram utilizados dois tipos de pino (Exacto e Splendor) em dois tipos de conduto (raízes alargadas e não alargadas). Os canais radiculares foram instrumentados em toda a extensão usando o nº. Brocas 2 e 3 Gates-Glidden (Dentsply Maillefer, Ballaigues, Suíça) e no terça cervical e médio foi utilizada também a broca Gates Glidden número 4 (Dentsply Malleifer), para cada grupo foi utilizada uma broca específica para cada sistema de pino empregado. Para a cimentação todas as amostras foram cimentadas com o cimento resinoso dual autoadesivo (RelyXTM U200, 3M ESPE, Sumaré, SP, Brasil) e aplicação foi realizada com o uso de pontas automix e endo tips. Todas as raízes foram seccionadas nos terços coronal e médio com espessura de 1mm. O teste de resistência de união por push-out (PBS) foi realizado em máquina de ensaio universal (EMIC). Os valores de resistência de união foram registrados e os dados foram analisados por ANOVA de medidas repetidas e teste de Tukey. Resultados: A resistência de união das amostras, entre os grupos, apresentou diferença estatística apenas no terço cervical, sendo que o do grupo exacto em conduto não alargado apresentou valores de resistência adesiva inferior em relação aos demais grupos. Entre terços cervical, médio e apical nenhuma diferença significativa (P= 0,153) foi encontrada. Conclusão: Os grupos utilizando pinos com luvas de fibra de vidro tiveram resultados semelhantes aos pinos de fibra de vidro convencionais reembasados com resina, o que pode estar associado a quantidades material de reforço principalmente na região cervical.
