O lobby de Israel nos Estados Unidos e a imagem do estado israelense no âmbito internacional

For at least 72 years, Israel has failed to comply with international law and has violated the human rights of Palestinians, which could damage its reputation in the international system. In this sense, Andrew Guzman develops the State's reputational theory in order to understand how and when States would comply with international law, in order to maintain a good reputation at the international level and consequently respect international law, which could bring advantages. Therefore, Guzman uses realistic theory as the basis of his work, considering States as unique and homogeneous agents that follow only their interests, such as considering that they are in an anarchic system. However, it can be observed that Israel, by ignoring the resolutions of the United Nations does not suffer any type of sanction by other countries or international bodies and, even if it suffers, these sanctions would not be enough to convince you to respect international law. This is due to the Israel lobby in the United States, which maintains and deepens the unconditional support provided to that country and, therefore, guarantees state survival. In addition, this relationship between the lobby, the United States and Israel makes the political and state character of Palestine to be questioned, given that its constituent elements of states suffer limitations precisely because of the israeli interference,which is safeguarded by the United States at the international level, thus hampering its status as a country and sustaining various human rights violations committed against the Palestinians. Based on these aspects, the present paper of na applied nature is developed, adopting the hypothetical research method. The objectives, analyzed from a historical, descriptive and explanatory frame, aim to understand why the State of Israel does not have as one of its interests the concern with its image at the international level and, thus, understand how its “survival” is guaranteed, allowing it to adopt various conducts against Palestine, as well as to prove that it is, in fact, a state and, notably, the recognition of it in international law. The question that guides this work is why Israel is able to disrespect international law and, especially, to promote actions against Palestine, and therefore not suffer any sanctions from society and international organizations? The hypothesis with which it brings is that the Israel lobby is what guarantees Israel its survival ensured by the unconditional support of the United States, so that Israel does not necessarily have to worry about its reputation at the international level. For its development, bibliographic procedures by authors relevant to the theme and documentary such as resolutions, opinions, documents and reports, were used. Finally, it is concluded that the Israeli lobby has great influence in the USA, so that it continues to deepen the unconditional support granted to the Israeli State which without this support would not have become a colonialist military and technological power capable of breaching the International Law, damaging the state and political character of the State of Palestine, and not suffer sanctions.
