During the implementation of the "Minha Casa, Minha Vida" program, several low-income Brazilian families had access to housing. In an attempt to reduce the housing deficit, the number of houses delivered was more important than the quality. Thus, the standard repetition of architectural models throughout the national territory disregarded the inmates, cultures, and specificities of each location. This study aimed to evaluate residents' resilience, behavior, and renovations in their single-story houses. To identify vulnerabilities, according to the level of energy efficiency of the refurbished housing, two horizontal housing complexes were analyzed: the "Residencial Sucesso Brasil" in the Shopping Park neighborhood (south sector), and part of the 2A4 plot, in the Pequis neighborhood (west sector) in the city of Uberlândia (MG, Brazil). The research is part of a broader study: "[RESILIENT HOUSE] Design strategies for promoting resilience in social housing based on post-occupancy evaluation methods." The concept of resilience, applied in the study, is defined as the ability of the environment to adapt to different impacts over time (to improve the quality of social housing), relating to energy efficiency, vulnerability, and adaptive capacity.
