This study aimed to technically evaluate the mechanical peeling of eucalyptus wood with the use of a movable peeler “Macir”. The study was done in a Eucalyptus grandis population of a company located in northern Bahia. The data were collected by random sampling. Initially, the loading efficiency of the feeding tray of the peeler was determined, which was followed by determination of the percentile of the effective time required for peeling in relation to its mechanical readiness. The data regarding time and movements in the field were also recorded. The results showed that effective work time was 89.47%, and the remaining 10.53% was spent on non-operational stoppages. Of the total work cycle, the feeding trays were full only 55.40% of the time, and most time period, 52.73% was spent on inefficiency.
