Resumo: Management changes, new political ideologies, and the dynamics of information and communication technologies contribute to the rise of transformations within Public Administration. Among the challenges, there is the search for communication tools that lead to greater efficiency, reliability and accuracy. The society itself is increasingly demanding the accuracy of government information. Accountability is among the tools that fosters and disseminates correctitude. This article aims to analyze some Brazilian scientific papers on government communication in order to identify future study perspectives. The study is based on a survey of scientific papers published in major journals between 2007 and 2011. Keywords: Government Communication, Transparency, Accountability.

Keywords: Government Communication, Transparency, Accountability.Mudanças de gestão, novas ideologias políticas, avanços tecnológicos e a dinamicidade de informação e dos meios de comunicação contribuem para as diversas transformações no âmbito da administração pública. Entre os desafios, destaca-se a busca por ferramentas de comunicação que permitam maior nível de eficiência, confiabilidade e transparência das informações. A sociedade já está sendo estimulada e o próprio Governo cobrado por tal transparência das informações, o accountability está entre as ferramentas que fomenta a prática e difunde idoneidade.
