Resumo: The efficiency of the removal of Direct Red 80 and Reactive Blue 21 dyes in aqueous solution and the treatment of a textile effluent collected at Companhia Industrial Itabira do Campo located in Itabirito - MG, by means of adsorption on human hair, were evaluated. The hair samples were sanitized, pulverized and characterized by spectrophotometry in the UV-Visible region, potentiometric titration and scanning electron microscopy. The adsorptive tests were carried out in batch systems, carried out under equilibrium conditions, with the Langmuir model being adjusted to the data, obtaining for the maximum adsorption capacity of the Direct Red 80 and Reactive Blue 21 dyes the values of 41.22 mg g-1 and 64.93 mgg-1, respectively. The verification of color removal was performed by spectrophotometry in the UV-Visible region. In the textile effluent samples there was complete removal of the color.

Universidade Federal de Viçosa - UFV2022-06-09info:eu-repo/semantics/articleinfo:eu-repo/semantics/publishedVersionapplication/pdfhttps://periodicos.ufv.br/jcec/article/view/1434110.18540/jcecvl8iss3pp14341-01eThe Journal of Engineering and Exact Sciences; Vol. 8 No. 3 (2022); 14341-01eThe Journal of Engineering and Exact Sciences; Vol. 8 Núm. 3 (2022); 14341-01eThe Journal of Engineering and Exact Sciences; v. 8 n. 3 (2022); 14341-01e2527-1075reponame:Revista de Engenharia Química e Químicainstname:Universidade Federal de Viçosa (UFV)instacron:UFVporhttps://periodicos.ufv.br/jcec/article/view/14341/7357Copyright (c) 2022 The Journal of Engineering and Exact Scienceshttps://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0info:eu-repo/semantics/openAccessDamasceno, Odilaine Inácio de CarvalhoReis, CésarReis, Efraim LázaroMatias, Alexsandro Antônio2022-06-29T13:37:54Zoai:ojs.periodicos.ufv.br:article/14341Revistahttp://www.seer.ufv.br/seer/rbeq2/index.php/req2/indexONGhttps://periodicos.ufv.br/jcec/oaijcec.journal@ufv.br||req2@ufv.br2446-94162446-9416opendoar:2022-06-29T13:37:54Revista de Engenharia Química e Química - Universidade Federal de Viçosa (UFV)false
