Resumo: | Mooring systems made of synthetic fiber ropes, in particular polyester ones, have gained prominence in recent decades. However, the mechanical behavior of such fibers has its complexities for simulation due to viscoelasticity and material and geometric nonlinearities. Numerical simulations of the mechanical behavior of the material used in the anchoring system are performed based on the viscoelastic theory and, for that, experimental data are used to calibrate the model. The viscoelastic mathematical approach of numerical simulation depends on the strain energy function which, for multifilaments of polymeric materials, has characteristics such as viscoelasticity and incompressibility. The objective of this study is to study different strain energy models applied to the numerical simulation of polyester, a material used in offshore anchorages. As a result, a quantitative comparison is obtained between the models regarding the quality of the mathematical adjustments. |

Porém o comportamento mecânico de tais fibras tem suas complexidades para simulação em virtude da viscoelasticidade e das não linearidades material e geométrica. Simulações numéricas do comportamento mecânico do material utilizado em sistema de ancoragem são realizadas com base na teoria viscoelástica e, para isso, são utilizados dados experimentais para a calibração do modelo. A abordagem matemática viscoelástica da simulação numérica depende da função energia de deformação que, para multifilamentos de materiais poliméricos, possuem características como viscoelasticidade e incompressibilidade. O objetivo desse trabalho é estudar diferentes modelos de energia de deformação aplicados à simulação numérica do poliéster, material utilizado em ancoragens offshore.
