Resumo: | The photovoltaic solar source represents the best possibilities for integration to the urban environment among all the other sources of electricity generation. The article analyzes the influence of urban morphology in generation of photovoltaic energy, in the city of Belém, Pará (Brazil), at Marco's neighborhood. Urbanistic patterns, together with solar radiation factors, identify parameters that maximize or minimize the use of solar resource for generation of photovoltaic energy. The SketchUp software, in colaboration with the Skelion plug-in, was used to model two kinds of building in the neighborhood that represents predominance of architectural typology: ground floor residential buildings and vertical residential buildings up to 4 floors. The results obtained demonstrate that in allinstalled surfaces, even considering losses due to orientation and inclination, a sufficient value was obtained to supply the need to generate each of the studied housing units. |

O artigo analisa a influência da morfologia urbana na geração de energia fotovoltaica, no bairro do Marco, na cidade de Belém, Pará (Brasil). Os padrões urbanísticos juntamente com fatores de radiação solar, identificam parâmetros que maximizam ou minimizam o aproveitamento do recurso solar para a geração de energia fotovoltaica. Foi utilizado o software SketchUp, com o plug-in Skelion, para modelar em duas edificações específicas do bairro que representavam a predominância da tipologia arquitetônica local: edificações térreas e verticais de padrão residencial até 4 pavimentos.
