Resumo: This work discusses the essential features of Ancien Régime’s political and legal configuration, in order to demonstrate its close bond with the traditional world. The text is divided into two parts. The first part presents the characteristics of the legal order and political power in the Ancien Régime. These ideas will compose the so-called jurisdictional culture. The second part shows how the concept of person was thought in this context, as well as some implications of this conception for the shaping of the Society of the time.
