Resumo: The objective is to verify, through diagnostic analysis in a comparative evaluation, the similarities, disparities, and the historical evolution between the General Data Protection Law (LGPD) and the Marco Civil. It is worth noting that the LGPD is more comprehensive, particularly in regard the processing of personal data, both in the public and private domains. LGPD supplements and revises the provisions of the Marco Civil, establishing more comprehensive and up-to-date legislation. Thus, the text underscores the significance of Comparative Law in achieving advancements in the legal structure, offering support to legislators while considering the cultural and political aspects that underpin the legal system.

Destaca-se que, a LGPD é mais abrangente, especificamente ao tratamento de dados pessoais, tanto no âmbito público quanto privado. A LGPD complementa e atualiza as disposições do Marco Civil, criando uma legislação mais completa e atualizada.
