Programmed obsolescence goal is to increase the production and consumption of goods. Through this premise, the present research aims the growth of programmed obsolescence and how it was installed in the system of production and the ideal of consumption of the population. We will argue two things: the market obstructs the fundamental right to the balanced environment and in what way progress is made over time. We also question the possibility of imagining a viable economy without a programmed obsolescence or Impact on the Environment. The conclusion is that Possibilities of Becoming a Continuing Economy, and Reduce Impact on the Environment without Obsolescence, follow key points without text, as well as consumer awareness. We used the deductive method and the bibliographic search technique.
