Resumo: In the Diamantina/MG region, communities and groups of evergreen flower pickers have a way of life and knowledge related to the native biome and its management. This project seeks to develop possibilities for craft production, through sustainable and creative actions, with a focus on the value chain of evergreen flowers collected in the Serra do Espinhaço. After reviewing the literature, a qualitative study proposed a co-creation methodology with representatives of local communities, based on social design. Brazil is home to approximately 630 species of evergreens, almost half of all species recorded on the planet. Most of the ornamental species harvested in the region are destined for the foreign market through middlemen. During the collective activities, a range of products was developed that preserve the local identity. This model of social project initiative adds territorial value to the products and promotes sustainability.
