Resumo: Diet plays a crucial and determining role, providing significant benefits to patients diagnosed with Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD). The kidney, as a filtering organ, requires a reduced metabolic load to alleviate renal functional overload. Therefore, when planning the diet to control or minimize the symptoms of CKD, the healthcare professional must take into account the specific stage of the disease. Dietary planning varies according to the patient's current clinical condition, and it is essential to analyze the underlying causes of CKD. disease, including possible comorbidities such as high blood pressure and diabetes mellitus. In this sense, nutritional monitoring emerges as an extremely important element to modulate the progression of the disease. The aforementioned work focuses on monitoring an individual undergoing treatment for chronic kidney failure, who is awaiting a transplant. In the context of this monitoring, the objective is to guide, encourage and promote healthy habits during the treatment process. The project aims to carry out assessments of the patient's food consumption, consequently proposing changes in eating habits to improve their nutritional status, thus contributing to slowing the progression of the disease.

Universidade Federal de Viçosa - UFV2023-12-28info:eu-repo/semantics/articleinfo:eu-repo/semantics/publishedVersionapplication/pdfhttps://periodicos.ufv.br/reves/article/view/1691210.18540/revesvl6iss4pp16912REVES - Revista Relações Sociais; Vol. 6 No. 4 (2023); 16912REVES - Revista Relações Sociais; Vol. 6 Núm. 4 (2023); 16912REVES - Revista Relações Sociais; v. 6 n. 4 (2023); 169122595-4490reponame:REVES - Revista Relações Sociaisinstname:Universidade Federal de Viçosa (UFV)instacron:UFVporhttps://periodicos.ufv.br/reves/article/view/16912/9110Copyright (c) 2023 REVES - Revista Relações Sociaishttps://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0info:eu-repo/semantics/openAccessAbreu, Ana Carolina AlvesSilva, Ana Carolina SiqueiraRibeiro, Isabella FerreiraAlves, Thaís AparecidaChagas, Mariana Monteiro2024-01-23T18:33:34Zoai:ojs.periodicos.ufv.br:article/16912Revistahttps://periodicos.ufv.br/reves/PUBhttps://periodicos.ufv.br/reves/oaireves.journal@ufv.br||2595-44902595-4490opendoar:2024-01-23T18:33:34REVES - Revista Relações Sociais - Universidade Federal de Viçosa (UFV)false
