Construction of an educational guide on responsible pet ownership to raise awareness among the population of Ceres and region

Resumo: | In urban areas, the presence of abandoned animals that live without receiving the necessary basic care is evident. This condition directly affects the health and well-being of these animals, while significantly contributing to the spread of zoonotic diseases. Therefore, the objective of this experience report is to present the actions carried out in an extension project that aimed at the elaboration and dissemination of informative material on the responsible custody of domestic animals, seeking to alleviate the problem of abandonment and mistreatment of animals in the city. Ceres and its surroundings in Goiás. For data collection, in addition to bibliographical research, we had the support of NGOs from the local community that works in animals protection. For the elaboration of the guide, Canva, an online tool for creating designs, was used. The material was entitled Responsible Guard of Domestic Animals and published on social networks and sites that promote independent works. |

Esta condición afecta directamente la salud y el bienestar de estos animales, al tiempo que contribuye significativamente a la propagación de enfermedades zoonóticas. Por lo tanto, el objetivode este relato de experiencia es presentar las acciones realizadas en un proyecto de extensión que tuvo como objetivo la elaboración y difusión de material informativo sobre la custodia responsable de los animales domésticos, buscando paliar la problemática del abandono y maltrato de los animales en el Ciudad de Ceres y región, en Goiás Para la recolección de datos, además de la investigación bibliográfica, contamos con el apoyode ONG de la comunidad local que trabajan en protección animal. Para la elaboración de la guía se utilizó Canva, una herramienta online para la creación de diseños. El material se tituló Guardia Responsable de los Animales Domésticos y fue publicado en redes sociales y sitios que promueven el trabajo independiente.Nas áreas urbanas, é evidente a presença de animais abandonados que vivem sem receber os cuidados básicos necessários. Essa condição afeta diretamente a saúde e o bem-estar desses animais, ao mesmo tempo que contribui significativamente para a propagação de doenças zoonóticas. Para tanto, o objetivo deste relato de experiência é apresentar as ações executadas em um projeto de extensão que visou a elaboração e difusão de material informativo sobre a guarda responsável de animais domésticos, buscando amenizar a problemática do abandono e maus-tratos de animais na cidade de Ceres e região, em Goiás. Para levantamento de dados, além da pesquisa bibliográfica, contou-se com o apoio de ONG's da comunidade local que atuam na proteção animal. Para a elaboração do guia foi utilizado o Canva, uma ferramenta online para criação de designs.
