Resumo: In Brazil there is an abundance of prehistoric lithic industries performed on quartz crystal. This raw material has been crafted so hard by direct percussion, the percussion on the anvil. This paper intends to present the experiments carried out regarding the percussion on an anvil. The discussions had adapted the guide methodology of the French School and the Experimental Program was based on issues raised by the study of lithic collection from the archaeological site Bibocas II, located in the municipality of Jequitaí, state of Minas Gerais.

Esta matéria prima tem sido trabalhada tanto pela percussão direta dura, quanto pela percussão sobre bigorna. Neste artigo, propõe-se apresentar as experimentações realizadas referentes à percussão sobre bigorna.
