Resumo: The paper makes a comparison between different flow regionalization techniques considered in the management of water resources in Minas Gerais State and between them and the results of field hydrometric measurements. For illustration of the studies is used the Ribeiro Bonito watershed as case study, unique location in the Rio das Velhas River Basin that has a Conflict Area Declaration (CAD) by low availability of water quantity in relation to the existing demands. The research highlights that different flow regionalization techniques produce different results if applied to areas with data limitations and in special in headwater streams areas.
