Estes mapas s?o uma poderosa ferramenta em estudos regionais para a identifica??o de regi?es com grande potencial explorat?rio. Pesquisas recentes apontam que a regi?o do Greenstone Belt Pitangui, NW do Quadril?tero Ferr?fero (MG), ? bastante promissora no ?mbito da explora??o aur?fera. Entretanto, essa regi?o ainda carece de estudos que permitam a compreens?o da distribui??o destes dep?sitos e identifica??o de zonas de alta prospectividade. Sendo assim, o presente projeto de mestrado teve como principal objetivo a modelagem prospectiva do Greenstone Belt Pitangui (GBP) a partir de dados geol?gicos, geof?sicos e geoqu?micos. Os resultados apresentados aqui foram divididos em tr?s cap?tulos. O primeiro deles, intitulado: ?Geochemical multifractal modeling of soil and stream sediment data applied to gold prospectivity mapping of the Pitangui Greenstone Belt, northwest of Quadril?tero Ferr?fero, Brazil? traz resultados quanto a utiliza??o de dados de geoqu?mica de solos e de sedimentos de corrente, disponibilizados pelo Servi?o Geol?gico do Brasil ? CPRM, na cria??o de mapas de evid?ncia de anomalias geoqu?micas associadas ? mineraliza??o. O resultado final deste estudo trouxe novas discuss?es sobre a associa??o geoqu?mica da mineraliza??o, composta por Au, As, Bi, Mo e Sb, a dispers?o dos elementos farejadores do ouro e a influ?ncia da din?mica superficial nas anomalias mapeadas. O segundo cap?tulo de resultados ? intitulado: ?Gold prospective evidential maps based on airborne magnetic and radiometric data of the Pitangui Greenstone Belt, NW of Quadrilatero Ferr?fero ? MG?. Nesse cap?tulo foram utilizados dados a?reos de magnetometria e gamaespectrometria fornecidos pela Companhia de Desenvolvimento Econ?mico de Minas Gerais ? CODEMIG. Os dados de magnetometria permitiram a caracteriza??o geof?sico-estrutural da ?rea de estudo, oferecendo novas informa??es quanto ao arcabou?o de estruturas n?o mapeadas na superf?cie que possam ter operado como condutos para as mineraliza??es aur?feras da regi?o. Os dados de gamaespectrometria, por sua vez, foram utilizados no mapeamento de poss?veis zonas de altera??o hidrotermal atrav?s de t?cnicas que real?am as concentra??es de K e U em detrimento do Th. Os resultados deste estudo ressaltaram a import?ncia da geof?sica na prospec??o mineral, al?m de abrir discuss?es que concernem a relev?ncia de determinados conjuntos de estruturas nos estudos prospectivos. Por fim, os dados gerados nos dois primeiros cap?tulos foram traduzidos em mapas de evid?ncia utilizados na modelagem prospectiva dos dep?sitos de ouro do GBP. Os resultados da modelagem prospectiva encontram-se no cap?tulo final desse estudo: ?Exploration targeting of gold mineralization using conceptual and empirical data: a new insight on the prospective potential of the Pitangui Greenstone Belt, Brazil ?. A partir do modelo te?rico do sistema mineral do GBP, foram identificadas as express?es mape?veis capazes de indicar zonas favor?veis para a mineraliza??o. O resultado final deste trabalho permitiu a identifica??o de dom?nios prospectivos que se mostram relacionados a fatores geol?gicos distintos. Tais observa??es permitem discuss?es quanto ao controle das mineraliza??es e a distribui??o espacial das zonas de alta prospectividade. Al?m disso, os resultados apresentados aqui apontam novas zonas, ainda n?o investigadas em detalhe, com potencial para hospedarem mineraliza??es.Submitted by Jos? These maps are a powerful tool in regional studies to identify regions with great exploratory potential. Recent research indicates that the region of the Pitangui Greenstone Belt, NW of the Quadril?tero Ferr?fero (MG), is very promising in the field of gold exploration. However, this region still lacks studies that allow understanding the distribution of these deposits and areas of high prospectivity. Therefore, the main objective of this master's research was the prospective modeling of the Pitangui Greenstone Belt (PGB) using geological, geophysical and geochemical data. The results presented here were divided into three chapters. The first one, entitled: ?Geochemical multifractal modeling of soil and stream sediment data applied to gold prospectivity mapping of the Pitangui Greenstone Belt, northwest of Quadril?tero Ferr?fero, Brazil? regards the use of soil and stream sediment geochemistry data, made available by the Brazilian Geological Survey ? CPRM, in the processing of evidential maps of geochemical anomalies associated with gold mineralization. The results of this study brought new discussions about the geochemical association of mineralization, the dispersion of gold pathfinder elements and the influence of surface dynamics on the mapped anomalies. The second chapter is entitled: ?Gold prospective evidential maps based on airborne magnetic and radiometric data from the Pitangui Greenstone Belt, NW of Quadrilatero Ferr?fero ? MG?. In this chapter we used airborne magnetic and radiometric data provided by the Minas Gerais Economic Development Company ? CODEMIG for geophysical-structural characterization of the study area. The analysis of magnetic data brought new information regarding the framework of unmapped structures that may have operated as fluid pathways for gold mineralization in the PGB region. The radiometric data, in turn, were used to map possible zones of hydrothermal alteration. The results of this study highlighted the importance of geophysics in mineral prospecting, in addition to opening discussions concerning the relevance of certain sets of structures in prospective studies. The interference of surface dynamics on the presented radiometric data was also discussed. Finally, the data generated in the first two chapters were translated into evidential maps used in the prospective modeling of the PGB gold deposits. The modeling results can be found in the final chapter of this study: ?Exploration targeting of gold mineralization using conceptual and empirical data: a new insight on the prospective potential of the Pitangui Greenstone Belt, Brazil?. Based on the theoretical model of the PGB mineral system, we identified mappable expressions capable of indicating favorable zones for mineralization. The final result of this work allowed the identification of prospective domains that are related to different geological factors. Such observations led to discussions regarding the control of mineralization and the spatial distribution of high prospectivity zones.
