Alicer?ada em estudos como de Sacrist?n (2000), Candau (2007), Lopes e Macedo (2011), Gomes (2007), Macedo (2006), Silva (2001), essa investiga??o parte do princ?pio de que o curr?culo pode ser um instrumento de cria??o, valoriza??o e preserva??o de identidades culturais. Dessa forma, o objetivo central foi investigar se e como os curr?culos da Escola Municipal Jos? Gomes Sales contribuem na (re) produ??o das identidades culturais da Comunidade Quilombola do Ausente, munic?pio de Serro-MG. Para isso, o desenvolvimento deste estudo qualitativo se deu por meio de pesquisa bibliogr?fica, an?lise documental e entrevistas semiestruturadas com alunos, professores e membros da comunidade do Ausente. Essas entrevistas foram realizadas por meio do m?todo da hist?ria oral tem?tica, uma ferramenta que possibilita a produ??o de conhecimento a partir da subjetividade e da sutileza envolvida na produ??o narrativa. Os resultados apontam que houve avan?os te?ricos, conceituais e legais decantados no ordenamento jur?dico brasileiro que asseguram direitos a esses povos quilombolas, dentre eles, pol?ticas de educa??o espec?ficas para as escolas inseridas em seus territ?rios. Contudo, os dados demonstram tamb?m que esses avan?os n?o foram traduzidos no cotidiano da Escola Municipal Jos? Sales Gomes, na Comunidade Quilombola do Ausente, Serro-MG. Conclu?mos que a invisibilidade e o silenciamento da cultura e hist?ria negra e quilombola no curr?culo, fragiliza os modos de pensar uma educa??o escolar quilombola, pois a vis?o euroc?ntrica e excludente ainda persiste nos curr?culos dessa institui??o de ensino. Ressalta-se a import?ncia desse estudo para avaliar o processo de implementa??o de pol?ticas p?blicas de educa??o para os povos quilombolas em uma regi?o historicamente constru?da pela m?o de obra negra escravizada, que formou nesse territ?rio uma das maiores di?sporas africanas em solo brasileiro. Curriculum, assessment, pedagogical practices and teacher training of the Graduate Program in Education of the Federal University of Jequitinhonha and Mucuri Valleys. Based on studies such as Sacrist?n (2000), Candau (2007), Lopes and Macedo (2011), Gomes (2007), Macedo (2006), Silva (2001), this research assumes that the curriculum can be an instrument creation, enhancement and preservation of cultural identities. Thus, the main objective was to investigate if and how the curricula of Jos? Gomes Sales Municipal School contribute to the (re) production of cultural identities of Quilombola do Ausente Community, municipality of Serro-MG. For this, the development of this qualitative study took place through bibliographic research, document analysis and semi-structured interviews with students, teachers and members of the Ausente community. These interviews were conducted through the thematic oral history method, a tool that enables the production of knowledge from the subjectivity and subtlety involved in narrative production. The results indicate that there were theoretical, conceptual and legal advances established in the Brazilian legal system that assure rights to these quilombola peoples, among them, specific education policies for the schools inserted in their territories. However, the data also show that these advances were not translated into the daily life of Jos? Sales Gomes Municipal School. We conclude that the invisibility and the silencing of black and quilombola culture and history in the curriculum weakens the ways of thinking of a quilombola school education, since the eurocentric and exclusionary view still persists in the curricula of this educational institution. The importance of this study is highlighted to evaluate the process of implementation of public education policies for the quilombola people in a region historically built by the black slave labor, which formed in this territory one of the largest African diasporas in Brazilian soil.
