Entretanto, a sustentabilidade de propriedades rurais pecu?rias ainda ? um desafio devido ? aus?ncia de aduba??o dos pastos em sistemas de produ??o extensivos, pelo alto valor dos fertilizantes, ou pelo uso excessivo de adubos qu?micos nitrogenados em sistemas intensivos. Com isso, esse trabalho foi proposto com o objetivo de avaliar a substitui??o da aduba??o qu?mica pela aduba??o org?nica a partir do composto de Tithonia diversifolia (tit?nia) no estabelecimento de Pennisetum purpureum Schum. cv. BRS Capia?u (capim-capia?u), visando a maior sustentabilidade das propriedades rurais. O delineamento experimental utilizado foi inteiramente casualizado, com cinco tratamentos contendo quatro repeti??es cada. Os tratamentos foram a utiliza??o do composto em substitui??o ao adubo mineral, considerando o teor de N nos diferentes n?veis de substitui??o (0, 25, 50, 75 e 100). O plantio do capim-capia?u foi realizado em sulcos a uma profundidade de 0,30m e espa?amento de 0,75m entre fileiras, distribuindo duas hastes dispostas na posi??o p? com ponta. Aos 120 E 180 dias ap?s emerg?ncia (DAE) avaliou-se caracter?sticas de crescimento e produ??o: altura, altura estendida, perfilhamento, massa verde total, massa seca de folhas, material senescente e massa seca total de plantas. Concomitantemente, foram realizadas avalia??es fisiol?gicas das plantas a partir da mensura??o de clorofila ?a?, clorofila ?b?, clorofila total, rela??o clorofila ?a? e clorofila ?b?, carbono interno, transpira??o, condut?ncia estom?tica e taxa fotossint?tica. Ap?s an?lise de m?dias entre os tratamentos e an?lise multivariada, constatou-se que a substitui??o de at? 50% da aduba??o mineral por composto de tit?nia ? recomendada sem prejudicar a produ??o e o estabelecimento de capim-capia?u. Programa de P?s-Gradua??o em Zootecnia, Universidade Federal dos Vales do Jequitinhonha e Mucuri, 2022.Given the increasing demand for a quality food and the world society pressures for cleaner and more sustainable production, the Brazilian cattle industry will need to change its production processes in order to meet these demands and continue to be highlighted in the world production. However, the sustainability of rural properties is still a challenge due to the lack of pasture fertilization in extensive production systems, the high value of fertilizers, or the excessive use of chemical nitrogen fertilizers in intensive systems. Thus, this study was proposed with the objective of evaluating the substitution of chemical fertilization by organic fertilization from Tithonia diversifolia (titonia) compost in the establishment of Pennisetum purpureum Schum. cv. BRS Capia?u (Capia?u grass), aiming to a greater sustainability of rural properties. The experimental design was entirely randomized, with five treatments containing four repetitions each. The treatments were the use of compost as a substitute for mineral fertilizer, considering the N content at different levels of substitution (0, 25, 50, 75 and 100). The planting of the Capia?u grass was done in furrows at 0.30 m depht and spacing of 0.75 m between rows, distributing two stems arranged in the tiptoe position. At 120 and 180 days after emergence (DAE) growth and production traits were evaluated: height, extended height, tillering, total green mass, leaf dry mass, senescent material and total plant dry mass. Concomitantly, physiological evaluations of the plants were performed by measuring chlorophyll "a", chlorophyll "b", total chlorophyll, chlorophyll "a" and chlorophyll "b" ratio, internal carbon, transpiration, stomatal conductance and photosynthetic rate. After analysis of means among treatments and multivariate analysis, it was found that the replacement of up to 50% of mineral fertilization by titonia compost can be recommended without harming the production and establishment of Capia?u grass.
