O objetivo deste estudo ? investigar os fatores que possibilitam o acesso e a perman?ncia dos estudantes do Curso de Licenciatura em Educa??o do Campo da UFVJM. Com o olhar voltado para o acesso e a perman?ncia de estudantes do campo no Ensino Superior P?blico e buscando o atendimento dos objetivos propostos, alguns caminhos metodol?gicos foram percorridos. Trata-se de pesquisa de abordagem qualitativa, cujo percurso metodol?gico abarcou a realiza??o de revis?o bibliogr?fica interdisciplinar sobre a tem?tica em tela; pesquisa documental na UFVJM e entrevistas semiestruturadas com 14 (quatorze) estudantes dos ?ltimos m?dulos do curso, buscando conhecer, sob a ?tica dos discentes, as perspectivas de ingresso e manuten??o desse p?blico no ensino superior. A inten??o foi identificar o perfil socioecon?mico dos discentes da LEC, evidenciando a??es pedag?gicas, estruturais, financeiras/or?ament?rias viabilizadas pela institui??o para fomentar o acesso e a perman?ncia dos estudantes. As an?lises empreendidas se mostraram relevantes para esta pesquisa, pois permitiu compreender de forma mais sistematizada as reais condi??es oferecidas pela UFVJM para fomentar o acesso e a perman?ncia dos estudantes da LEC. Observamos que a perman?ncia das classes populares no ensino superior se atrela a pol?ticas p?blicas de acesso e perman?ncia at? aqui implementadas, tanto pelo Estado quanto pela UFVJM. Esta pesquisa confirma a import?ncia de um curso superior em Regime de Altern?ncia, da pol?tica de assist?ncia estudantil, de programas institucionais como o Programa Institucional de Bolsas de Inicia??o ? Doc?ncia (PIBID) Diversidade e das rela??es humanas como fatores tanto de acesso quanto de perman?ncia dos estudantes do Campo na Universidade, reafirmando a relev?ncia do processo de democratiza??o da universidade enquanto bem p?blico, delineando um cen?rio menos elitista e mais democr?tico e interepist?mico. Programa de P?s-Gradua??o em Estudos Rurais, Universidade Federal dos Vales do Jequitinhonha e Mucuri, 2019.This research focuses on the case of the Licentiate in Field Education (LEC) of the Federal University of the Jequitinhonha and Mucuri Valleys (UFVJM). The objective of this study is to investigate the factors that allow the access and permanence of the students of the Undergraduate Course in Field Education at UFVJM. With a view to the access and the permanence of students of the field in Public Higher Education and seeking the fulfillment of the proposed objectives, some methodological paths were crossed. It is a qualitative research, whose methodological course covered the realization of an interdisciplinary bibliographical review on the subject matter on the screen; documentary research at the UFVJM and semistructured interviews with 14 students from the last modules of the course, seeking to know, from the viewpoint of the students, the prospects of entry and maintenance of this public in higher education. The intention was to identify the socioeconomic profile of the students of the LEC, evidencing pedagogical, structural, financial/budgetary actions enabled by the institution to foster students' access and permanence. The analyzes undertaken were relevant for this research, since it allowed to understand in a more systematized way the real conditions offered by the UFVJM to foment the access and the permanence of the students of the LEC. We observed that the permanence of the popular classes in higher education is linked to public policies of access and permanence hitherto implemented, both by the State and by the UFVJM. This research confirms the importance of a higher course in Alternation Regime, student assistance policy, institutional programs such as the Institutional Scholarship Program (PIBID) Diversity and human relations as factors of both access and permanence of the field students at the University, reaffirming the relevance of the university's democratization process as a public good, outlining a less elitist and more democratic and interepistemic scenario. These factors emerge with transformative forces capable of promoting social development and the improvement of current curricular and socioenvironmental conditions, reflecting the individual's gain in performance and the building of a more just and democratic university in terms of access and training opportunities.porUFVJMA concess?o da licen?a deste item refere-se ao ?
