Resumo: | Being the transfusional therapy considered a form of emergency treatment, is fundamental the development of technologies that allow the storage of the canine blood without losing its characteristic biochemists and morphologics. The use of bag CPDA-1 has been preferred, because it is the one that has had the better performance in the conservation of canine blood. However is already used in the medicine human a bag called CPD/SAG-M and in studies with other species it has demonstrated superiority comparing with the first bag. For observation of the quality of the stored blood it has been used to dose the concentrations of the Plasmatic Potassium, of the Plasmatic Glucose, the 2,3-Diphosphoglycerate (DPG), analysis of the Morphology and haemogasometrics parameters as the Partial Pressure of Oxygen, the Partial Pressure of Dioxide of Carbon and Plasmatic Bicarbonate. The present work had as objective to evaluate and to compare the biochemists and hematologicals alterations of the total blood of dogs stored in bags CPDA-1 and CPD/SAG-M. 14 male, adult and healthful dogs, of the races Pit Bull and Labrador, were divided in two groups, which one blood was removed for the study. For the first group (G1) the blood was stored in bag CPDA-1 and for the group (G2) in bag CPD/SAG-M. The samples were analyzed for: Plasmatic Potassium, Plasmatic Sodium, Plasmatic Glucose, Total Plasmatic Protein, Number of Red Blood Cells, DPG, pH Sanguine, pO2, pCO2, Bicarbonate, Cellular Morphology and the presence of Anisocytosis. The established moments for the laboratory analyses were: D0: immediately after the collection of blood of the animals; D7: seven days after the collection; D14: fourteen days after the collection; D21: twenty and one days after the collection; D31: thirty and one days after the collection; D41: forty and one days after collect. The evaluation of the results allowed to conclude that: The bag CPD/SAG-M presented greater advantage when compared with the CPDA-1. The DPG, even with pH lower then 7, continues being produced for, at least, one week after the stocking of the blood in the bag. The concentrations of the Plasmatic Potassium had not raised significantly the levels of blood when compared with human or equine, stored in a period equivalent. |
