Resumo: | The Side Forests have important functions and their effects are not only local, but also reflect in the life quality of all the population under the influence of a river bay.The present study has the object of studying the structure of the vegetation, the diversity of the forest, the species composition and the environmental patterns of the River Side Forest in the Sub Bay in Upper São Francisco River to evaluate if the present conservation state and isolation have altered essential process of these communities, giving this way information can help works of recovering and bio diversity preservation in the fragments of the River Side Forests. This study was made in different River Side Forests, where for each area was organized two close blocks, 25 continuous parcels, 10m x 10m each, totalizing 50 parcels and this way involving 0.5 ha in each River Side Forest. There were samples of all live tree individuals, with the round measure of (CAP) bigger or equal to 10 cm. The results of this study were expressed as a chart of N species e M places (parcels). Each cell of this chart shows the incidence of a certain specie in a certain parcel, both as binary data (Xij = 0 or 1, indicating the presence or absence of the i specie in theh place) or as quantitative data (xij= the number of the samples of the species i in the place h) (Bell, 2003). There is this way, two patterns of of standard that can be estimated, one referring to the binary data and the other to the quantitative data. The totals and variation of the line and column identify the patterns ofquantity and diversity. The quantity tax of the species of the Forests Córrego Fundo and the Forest Córrego da Fazendinha, were classified in aversive order, basedon a diagram Rank of quantity, with the lines compared to a test Kolmogorov- Swirnov. In the Córrego Fundo River Side Forest, were found 1445 live trees in total86 live tree species standing,65 genders, 35 families and 2 specieswre not identified The families that have the biggest number of species were Myrtaceae with 12 species; Fabaceae with 10species and Rubiaceae with 5 species. There was a big number of species classified as Secundary Initial, represented by 34 species, followed by Secundary Late with27 species, as Firsts were represented by 9 species and 16 specieswere not classified. The species sampled, 67% areZoocóricas. Among the speciesthe most frequentwere, Callistene major with 267 individuals, followed by Tapirira guianensis with 80 indivduals, Copaifera langsdorffii with 40 individuals, Siparuna guianensis with 104 individuals, Terminalia glabrescens with 39,Myrcia splendens, with 65 individuals, Xylopia aromatica with 46 individuals, Pera glabrata with 40 individuals, and Lacistema hasslerianum with 62 individuals. The area used was 13,76 m2 / ha. The individual average circular area was 7,82 cm, maximum of 47,43 cm ( Copaifera langsdorffii The average high was 6,4 m,maximum16 m (Copaifera langsdorffii. and Callisthene major). The diversity tax of Shannon (H`) calculated was3,52, The equality tax Pielou (J`) in 0,79, and the tax Simpson ( D) 0,95.In the Córrego da Fazendinha River Side Forest were sampled 1445 in total 100 standing live tree species ,70 genders, 37 families, with only one unidentified specie. The families that have the biggest number of species were, Fabaceae and Myrtaceae with 17 sampled species, each one , followed by Anacardiaceae with 6 species, after byAnnonaceae and Rubiaceae with 5. there was a big number of species classified as Secundary Initial, with 43 species, followed bySecundary Late with 21 species, and Firsts with 16 species, 20 species were not classified. Among the sampled species, 66% areZoocóricas. The most numbered species Callistene major with 338 individuals, followed by Siparuna guianensis with 244 individuals sampled, Campomanesia guaviroba with 124 individuals, Myrcia tomentosa with 75 individuals, Copaifera langsdorffii with 42 individuals, Piptadenia gonoacantha with 25 individuals, Dalbergia brasiliensis with 56 individuals, Myrcia splendens with 37 individuals, and Ilex cerasifolia with 47 individuals. The total area used was 13,23 m2 / há.The individual average round area was 7,65 cm, maximum 46,0 cm (Ocotea corymbosa. The average high was 6,8 m, mximum 19 m (Acrocomia aculeata. The diversity tax Shannon (H`) calculated was 3,3, the equality tax Pielou (J`) in 0,72, and the tax Simpson (D) was 0,92. There was no significant difference between the Córrego Fundo Forest and the Córrego da Fazendinha Forest when compering the quantity structure of the specie. There was adifference between both when compared the the relation between the number of individuals of the comunities (s) and the variety of the number of individualsof the species (q), showing that a growth of individuals in the parcels causes the growth of the variation of the number of individuals in the species in the Córrego da Fazendinha Forest, with a biggest variation than in the Córrego Fundo Forest. The classification of quantity of species in the Córrego Fundo Forest and Córrego da Fazendinha Forest show the same pattern expected to vegetal comunities in this kind of forest. |

The classification of quantity of species in the Córrego Fundo Forest and Córrego da Fazendinha Forest show the same pattern expected to vegetal comunities in this kind of forest.
