The Bromeliaceae family is represented by 56 genera and 3086 species. It is a family neotropical, with only one species occurring outside of America, in western Africa. In Brazil is represented by about 40% of species, distributed in almost all the vegetation. In the state of Minas Gerais are 265 species distributed in 27 genera. This study was developed at the Serra do Rola-Moça State Park (PESRM), located in the Quadrilátero Ferrífero (Iron Quadrangle), the central-south region of Minas Gerais. It was objectives of the study floristic Bromeliaceae, their wealth and geographical distribution as well as sexual and asexual reproductive aspects Andrea selloana (Baker) Mez. The monthly trips occurred between January 2006 and January 2008, for a period of four to five days. The species and their geographical distribution were determined based on specialized literature, visit the herbal and consultations with specialists. We identified 24 species belonging to 11 genera and three subfamilies, and the gender Dyckia more expressive, with nine species. They are given keys to identification of taxa, descriptions, illustrations and comments on distribution and diagnostic characters. 19 taxa were identified with specific level, being ten endemic of state of Minas Gerais and nine restricted to rocky grasslands of the Espinhaço Range. A gender, Andrea, occurs only in Minas Gerais, the Espinhaço Range. Andrea selloana (Baker) Mez, Cryptanthus schwackeanus Mez, Dyckia consimilis Mez, D. densiflora Shult F., D. macedoi L. B. Sm., D. schwackeana Mez, D. trichostachya Baker and Vriesea minarum L. B. Sm., are cited in the Review List of Endangered Species of Flora and Fauna Extinction of the State of Minas Gerais. A. selloana and V. minarum are also cited in the Review List of Brazilian Flora Endangered Extinction. Five were recognized standards of distribution for the species occurring in PESRM: Neotropical (2 spp.), South America (5 spp.), Brazil East-Central (1 sp.), Southeast Brazil (1sp.) and Brazil Minas Gerais (10 spp.). The taxa on the preference for habitat floristic elements were classified as general (31.5%) and specialists (68.5%). As for the flowering of A. selloana, it was found to occur in the rainy season, a period that coincides with the warmer temperatures of the year. The few flowers in the population, have a few flowers open a day per individual. Its flowers have melittophly Syndrome, the species invests primarily in sexual reproduction, while the asexual reproduction is aimed at maintaining and expanding the number of rosettes. The fragility of the species is not related to its reproductive strategies, but the degradation of the environment.
