Se baseia em pesquisa realizada junto aos/às servidore(a)s Técnico-Administrativos da UFRPE e buscou responder como estratégias de endividamento financeiro impactam a vida de servidore(a)s público(a)s Técnico-Administrativos em Educação, em suas práticas de consumo e bem-estar sócio-familiar e profissional. Como objetivo, priorizou-se investigar como as estratégias de endividamento financeiro e contratação de créditos estão afetando a vida de servidore(a)s. Realizou-se um estudo quanti-qualitativo com a distribuição de questionários entre 200 servidore(a)s, obtendo-se o retorno de 90% destes. Para o aprofundamento da pesquisa foram entrevistado(a)s 05 servidore(a)s acerca do desequilíbrio orçamentário. Os resultados apontam que despesas relacionadas ao cotidiano, aliadas às contratações recorrentes de empréstimos consignados, podem contribuir negativamente no orçamento doméstico com repercussões no bem-estar psíquico, pessoal e social.The paper was drawn from the thesis developed in the Postgraduate Program in Consumption, Daily Life and Social Development of the Rural Federal University of Pernambuco. It is based on research carried out with Technical Administrative federal employees from the UFRPE of and sought to answer how financial debt strategies impact the lives of Education Technical and Administrative federal employees, in their consumption practices along with social, family and professional well-being. As objective, it was prioritized to investigate how the financial debt strategies and credit contract are affecting the lives of the federal employees. We performed a quantitative and qualitative study through the distribution of questionnaires to 200 federal employees, receiving 90% of these back. For further research 05 federal employees were interviewed on budget imbalance.
