Resumo: This work aimed at evaluating the impact of herbicides on the microbiological activity of soil cultivated with sugarcane. A first trial was installed in the laboratory with two bacterial isolates from the rhizosphere soil of sugarcane, Sac 4 and Sac 13, presenting, respectively, high and low potential for phosphate (P) solubilization. The growth and capacity of phosphate solubilization was evaluated under the presence of the herbicides trifloxysulfuron-sodium (Envoke®), ametryn (Metrimex 500 SC®), and trifloxysulfuron-sodium + ametryn (Krismat®). The bacterial isolates showed distinct behaviors in relation to the presence of herbicides in the culture medium. For Sac 4, a reduction in growth was observed in the presence of trifloxysulfuron + ametryn. However, the herbicides did not affect Sac 13 growth. Phosphate solubilization activity for both isolates was not modified in the presence of the herbicides. In a second trial, soil samples from a sugarcane plantation were treated with ametryn, trifloxysulfuronsodium, and the commercial mixture at doses of 0, 1, 2, 4, and 8 times the dose of 10, 0.111, and 7.315 + 0.185 mg dm3 of the active ingredient, respectively. After herbicide application, the soil samples were incubated for 15 days and CO2 evolution (C-CO2) was evaluated every three days. After the incubation period, microbial biomass carbon (MBC), the metabolic quotient (qCO2), the phosphate solubilization potential, and the relative phosphate solubilization were evaluated. C-CO2 evolution was higher in the treatment with the highest dose of trifloxysulfuron-sodium and lower in the treatments with ametryn and trifloxysulfuron + ametryn compared to the control treatment. MBC and the qCO2 were negatively affected by ametryn and trifloxysulfuron-sodium + ametryn. Trifloxysulfuron-sodium did not affect significantly MBC and led to decreases in qCO2 that were dose-dependent. A third trial was installed under field conditions with treatments composed by two sugarcane varieties, RB867515 and SP80-1816, and the herbicides ametryn, trifloxysulfuron-sodium, trifloxysulfuron-sodium + ametryn, and sulfentrazone (Boral 500 SC®). A control treatment with no herbicide application was also included. Herbicide application was done in post-emergence of the sugarcane. The rhizosphere soil was collected at 7, 14, and 28 days after herbicide application (DHA), and MBC, phosphate solubilization potential, relative phosphate solubilization potential, and the activity of phosphomonoesterase were determined. The application of metryn or trifloxysulfuron-sodium + ametryn led to decreases in MBC. The phosphate solubilization potential and relative phosphate solubilization differed for each sugarcane variety tested, with higher values for SP80-1816. Para isso foram conduzidos três experimentos. O primeiro foi realizado em laboratório, com dois isolados bacterianos provenientes do solo rizosférico de cana- de-açúcar, Sac 4 e Sac 13, classificados como de alto e baixo potencial de solubilização de fosfato inorgânico, respectivamente. O crescimento e o potencial de solubilização de fosfato desses isolados foram avaliados na presença dos herbicidas trifloxysulfuron-sodium, ametryn e da mistura de trifloxysulfuron-sodium + ametryn. Os isolados bacterianos apresentaram comportamentos diferenciados na presença dos herbicidas. Para o isolado Sac 4, verificou-se redução do crescimentos na presença do trifloxysulfuron-sodium + ametryn. No entanto, não se observaram efeitos dos herbicidas no crescimento do isolado bacteriano Sac 13. O potencial de solubilização de fosfato de ambos os isolados não foi alterado na presença dos herbicidas. No segundo experimento, amostras de solo cultivado com cana-de-açúcar foram tratadas com o ametryn, trifloxysulfuron-sodium, e trifloxysulfuron-sodium + ametryn nas doses 0; 1; 2; 4 e 8 vezes a dose referência de 10, 0,112 e 7,315 + 0,185 mg dm- 3 do ingrediente ativo dos respectivos herbicidas. Após a aplicação dos tratamentos, as amostras de solo foram incubadas por 15 dias, determinando-se a evolução de CO2 do solo (C-CO2) em intervalos de três dias. Ao final do período de incubação, foram avaliados o carbono da biomassa microbiana (CBM), o quociente metabólico (qCO2), o potencial de solubilização e a solubilização relativa de fosfato. Houve menor evolução de C-CO2 no tratamento com a maior dose de trifloxysulfuron-sodium, e menor evolução para o ametryn e a mistura, nas maiores doses testadas, comparativamente com a testemunha. O CBM e o qCO2 foram influenciados negativamente pelos herbicidas ametryn e trifloxysulfuron- sodium + ametryn, com maiores efeitos nas maiores doses. O trifloxysulfuron-sodium pouco influenciou no CBM e causou redução do qCO2 com o aumento das doses aplicadas. O potencial de solubilização de fosfato apresentou redução com o aumento das doses de do ametryn e da mistura de trifloxysulfuron-sodium + ametryn, em quanto o trifloxysulfuron-sodium estimulou esta variável. O terceiro experimento foi conduzido em campo, sendo os tratamentos constituídos por cultivares de cana-de-açúcar (RB867515 e SP80-1816) e por herbicidas (ametryn, trifloxysulfuron-sodium, trifloxysulfuron-sodium + ametryn e sulfentrazone), além de uma testemunha sem herbicida para cada cultivar. A aplicação dos herbicidas foi realizada em pós-emergência da cultura, quando esta encontrava-se com quatro folhas completamente expandida. Aos 7, 14 e 28 dias após a aplicação dos herbicidas, foi coletado solo rizosférico da cultura e realizadas as avaliações do CBM, potencial de solubilização de fosfato, potencial relativo de solubilização e atividade da enzima fosfomonoesterase ácida. A aplicação do ametryn isolado ou em mistura com trifloxysulfuron-sodium provocou maior redução do CBM do solo. A solubilização potencial e relativa de fosfato diferiram entre os cultivares de cana-de-açúcar, sendo maior na SP 80-1816. Essas foram menores com a aplicação do ametryn e trifloxysulfuron-sodium + ametryn. No entanto, foram estimuladas com a aplicação do trifloxysulfuron-sodium, e não influenciadas pelo sulfentrazone. As enzimas fosfatases não foram influenciadas pelos herbicidas, porém apresentou maior atividade no solo risosférico da cultivar SP80-1816. Concluiu-se que o ametryn, aplicado isolado ou em mistura ocasionou maior efeito negativo na evolução de C-CO2, no CBM, no qCO2 e na solubilização de fosfato inorgânico.
