Resumo: | It was intended, from this study, to classify and discriminate materials evaluated in terms of its chemical composition and with respect to in vitro digestibility. Studies resided on the chemical composition, chemical profile of crude protein (CP) and digestive characteristics of 20 protein co-products and byproducts of the biodiesel industry with potential use in ruminant feeding. Were used: cottonseed meal and cake, two peanut cakes, babassu cake, canudo-de-pito meal, crambe meal and cake, palm oil cake, sunflower meal and cake, licuri cake, macaúba seeds cake, detoxified with calcium and non-detoxified castor-oil seeds meal, non-detoxified castor-oil seeds cake, turnip cake, two jatropha cakes and soybean meal. For the chemical composition, the samples were quantified to determine the dry matter (DM), organic matter (OM), crude protein (CP), ether extract (EE), neutral detergent fiber corrected for ash and protein (NDFap), non-fiber carbohydrates (NFC), acid detergent fiber corrected for ash and protein (ADFap), lignin, cutin and starch levels. To determine the chemical profile of CP was made the protein fractionation (fractions A, B1, B2, B3 and C) according to the Cornell Net Carbohydrate and Protein System (CNCPS). For the biological characteristics the dry matter in vitro digestibility (DMIVD), neutral detergent fiber in vitro digestibility (NDFIVD), rumen degraded protein (RDP), rumen undegraded protein (RUP), intestinal digestibility (ID) by the method of three stages, digestible rumen undegraded protein (DRUP), indigestible neutral detergent fiber (iNDF) and neutral detergent insoluble undegradable protein (NDIUP) were evaluated. The divergence of nutritional value, based on discriminatory variables between groups was estimated by cluster analysis using Euclidean distance with average standardized variables and the method of minimum variance. The content of OM, CP, EE, NDFap, NFC, ADFap, lignin, cutin and starch varied from 81.95 to 95.41%, 18.92 to 57.75%, 0.56 to 18.40%, 10.13 to 62.30%, 3.89 to 27.88%, 6.15 to 36.86%, 1.19 to 5.04%, 0 to 17.87% and 0.68 to 14.50%, respectively. The values of fractions A, B1, B2, B3 and C, ranged from 5.40 to 43.31%, 0.08 to 37.63%, 16.75 to 79.39%, 1.86 to 59.15 % and 0.60 to 11.47%, respectively. Concentrations of DMIVD, NDFIVD, RDP, RUP, ID, DRUP, iNDF NDIUP ranged from 31.00 to 95.92%, 55.04 to 97.74%, 41.06 to 97.61%, 2.39 to 58.94, 9.27 to 94.26%, 0.33 to 53.32%, 1.05 to 40.80% and 0.29 to 2.92%, respectively. The babassu, palm oil, sunflower, licuri and macaúba seeds presented DRUP content higher than soybean meal. Some co-products and byproducts can be used to replace soybean meal, considering that the values of the biological characteristics were similar to this. |

Some co-products and byproducts can be used to replace soybean meal, considering that the values of the biological characteristics were similar to this.Pretendeu-se, a partir deste estudo, classificar e discriminar os materiais avaliados no tocante à sua composição química e com respeito à digestibilidade in vitro. Os estudos residiram sobre composição química, perfil químico da proteína bruta (PB) e características digestivas de 20 co-produtos e subprodutos protéicos da indústria do biodiesel com potencial de utilização na alimentação de ruminantes, quais foram: farelo e torta de algodão, duas tortas de amendoim, torta de babaçu, farelo de canudo-de-pito, farelo e torta de crambe, torta de dendê, farelo e torta de girassol, torta de licuri, torta das sementes de macaúba, farelo destoxificado com cal e farelo não-destoxificado de mamona, torta de mamona não-destoxificada, torta de nabo forrageiro, duas tortas de pinhão manso e farelo de soja. Para a composição química, as amostras foram quantificadas quanto aos teores de matéria seca (MS), matéria orgânica (MO), proteína bruta (PB), extrato etéreo (EE), fibra em detergente neutro corrigida para cinzas e proteína (FDNcp), carboidratos não fibrosos (CNF), fibra em detergente ácido corrigida para cinzas e proteína (FDAcp), lignina, cutina e amido. Para determinar o perfil químico da PB, foi feito o fracionamento (frações A, B1, B2, B3 e C) da mesma de acordo com o Cornell Net Carboydrate and Protein System (CNCPS). Quanto às características biológicas dos alimentos, foram avaliadas a digestibilidade in vitro da MS (DIVMS), a digestibilidade in vitro da fibra em detergente neutro (DIVFDN), a proteína degradada no rúmen (PDR), a proteína não degradada no rúmen (PNDR), a digestibilidade intestinal (DI) pelo método dos três estádios, a fibra em detergente neutro indigestível (FDNi) e a proteína indegradável insolúvel em detergente neutro (PIIDN). A divergência do valor nutricional, baseada em variáveis discriminatórias entre os grupos, foi estimada por meio de análise de agrupamento, utilizando-se a distância euclidiana média com variáveis padronizadas e o método de variância mínima. Os teores de MO, PB, EE, FDNcp, CNF, FDAcp, lignina, cutina e amido variaram de 81,95 a 95,41%, 18,92 a 57,75%, 0,56 a 18,40%, 10,13 a 62,30%, 3,89 a 27,88%, 6,15 a 36,86%, 1,19 a 5,04%, 0 a 17,87% e 0,68 a 14,50%, respectivamente. Os valores das frações A, B1, B2, B3 e C, variaram de 5,40 a 43,31%, 0,08 a 37,63%, 16,75 a 79,39%, 1,86 a 59,15% e 0,60 a 11,47%, respectivamente. Os teores de DIVMS, DIVFDN, PDR, PNDR, DI, PNDRD, FDNi e PIIDN, variaram de 31,00 a 95,92%, 55,04 a 97,74%, 41,06 a 97,61%, 2,39 a 58,94, 9,27 a 94,26%, 0,33 a 53,32%, 1,05 a 40,80% e 0,29 a 2,92%, respectivamente. As tortas de babaçu, dendê, girassol, licuri e das sementes de macaúba apresentaram teor de PNDRD superior ao do farelo de soja.
