Resumo: Two expertiments were carried out at the Federal University of Viçosa and two were conducted on a Cambic Yellow-Red Podzol soil under field conditions in EPAMIG Experimental Farm at Ponte Nova, Minas Gerais State. In the first, models were developed to estimate squash foliar area through leaf linear measurements. In the second, under field conditions, it was tested five rates of mineral fertilizer 4-14-8 (0, 215, 430, 860, 1,720 kg/ha), with six replicates on a randomized block design. In the third, under greenhouse conditions, it was tested five rates of organic compound (0, 25, 50, 100, 150 g/dmª, expressed on dry basis) and three rates of mineral fertilizer (0, 1 and 2) arranged on a 5 x 3 factorial with four replicates on a randomized block design. In the fourth, conducted in the Ponte Nova region, under field conditions, it was studied the gradual replacement of mineral fertilizer by the organic compound through five fertilizing treatments combining mineral and organic fertilizers besides the control treatment (without fertilization), in a randomized block design with four replicates. In the first experiment, a cubic square-root-base type model (Ã = -83.63-5 1.1 12 * L +111.378JZ+ 9.8047 * *Ll-ª) based on the greater leaf width was suitable to estimate the plant leaf area under greenhouse conditions and a quadratic model (Ã = 3.85-1.272L+0.7756**L2) for plants grown on the field. In the second, the mineral fertilizer rates affected yield and mean fruit weight and N, P, K leaf concentrations. It was estimated that the 772 kg/ha of 4-14-8 provided the highest economic returns. ln the third, the organic compound rates increased the leaf area, the shoot dry weight, the leaf blade P, K and 8 concentrations; in the highest organic compound rate (150 g/dmª) was obtained the optimum dry matter yield. In the fourth, the replacement of mineral fertilizer part by the organic compound resulted greater shoot dry matter and fruit yield. Fruit yield reached the maximum value of 13,596 kg/ha with 6,402 kg/ha of the organic compound and 360 kg/ha of the 4-14-8 mineral fertilizer but the maximum economic efficiency was obtained with a 5,347 kg/ha of the organic compound and a 434 kg/ha of the 4-14-8, mineral fertilizer.

Growth, nutritional state and yield of hybrid squash as a function of mineral and organic fertilization.info:eu-repo/semantics/publishedVersioninfo:eu-repo/semantics/doctoralThesisUniversidade Federal de ViçosaDepartamento de FitotecniaDoutor em FitotecniaViçosa - MG1997-01-10Doutoradoinfo:eu-repo/semantics/openAccessreponame:LOCUS Repositório Institucional da UFVinstname:Universidade Federal de Viçosa (UFV)instacron:UFVORIGINALtexto completo.pdftexto completo.pdftexto completoapplication/pdf20669621https://locus.ufv.br//bitstream/123456789/11926/2/texto%20completo.pdf031baa5c256b70fc56665656c9d5ff79MD52LICENSElicense.txtlicense.txttext/plain; charset=utf-81748https://locus.ufv.br//bitstream/123456789/11926/3/license.txt8a4605be74aa9ea9d79846c1fba20a33MD53THUMBNAILtexto completo.pdf.jpgtexto completo.pdf.jpgIM Thumbnailimage/jpeg3748https://locus.ufv.br//bitstream/123456789/11926/4/texto%20completo.pdf.jpgd9e4888de6451478a96e2f213f5a4455MD54123456789/119262022-06-28 14:34:32.001oai:locus.ufv.br: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Repositório InstitucionalPUBhttps://www.locus.ufv.br/oai/requestfabiojreis@ufv.bropendoar:21452022-06-28T17:34:32LOCUS Repositório Institucional da UFV - Universidade Federal de Viçosa (UFV)false
