Resumo: The nutritional demand of pineapple plant is high in relation to other crops and depend on cultivar, fruit weight, production destiny, planting density and system. The variation of these factors is not always contemplated in the fertilization tables adopted by the main producing States, therefore justifying the need for the availability of a tool that would provide an ampler use besides considering those variations. The objective this work was develop and evaluate the structure of a System for recommendation of fertilizers and lime to the pineapple crop, by using the modeling and systemization of literature information and actual knowledge about fertilization and mineral nutrition of the crop. The System to recommend of fertilizers and lime for the pineapple plant cropping (FERTCALC®-Abacaxi) is based on the nutritional balance method, that contemplates the requirement of nutrients by this crop in order to reach an expected productivity as well as the soil capacity to supplying those nutrients. The nutrient requirements depends on nutritional demand by the crop and the sustainability demand, whereas the nutritional demand is represented by the nutrient amount necessary for the plant to produce the exported biomass (fruits and slips) and the returned one (root, stem, stalk and leaves). The sustainability demand is based on the restitution of a fractionized amount of nutrients in the exported biomass in order to assure their supply for a future production cycle. The nutrient supply by the soil accounts for the amounts indicated by the chemical analysis of the soil, by the organic matter content (for N), by liming (for Ca and Mg) and by the organic residues of the previous cycle. The accomplished simulations showed that the FERTCALC®-Abacaxi recommends higher nutrient amounts at the first cropping than at the second one, and higher amounts for the Pérola cv. in relation to the Smooth Cayenne cv. The doses for both cultivars were higher for either higher planting densities and heavier fruits production, as well as they are affected by the expected productivity, availability of nutrients in the soil, and the addition of organic residues, mainly for nutrients with higher demand (N and K), as occurring low influence of the soil buffer capacity (Prem, clay content) at doses of the nutrients sensitive to the variations in this property. The micronutrient doses were affected by the plant recovery rate. The comparisons based on fertilization tables showed that on the contrary to these ones, the FERTCALC®-Abacaxi recommends nutrient doses continuously varying with productivity and nutrient content in the soil either at the first cropping and ratoon, besides accounting for the contribution of organic residues from the previous cycle. The System also contemplates the variations promoted by the cultivar, fruit weight, production destiny, planting system and density, besides showing satisfactory predictive capacity to recommending fertilizer doses to the crop, also provides information about the economical viability of the doses. However, the System needs improvements in future versions and its performance requires evaluation under different edaphoclimatic conditions.

However, the System needs improvements in future versions and its performance requires evaluation under different edaphoclimatic conditions.
