Níveis de metionina+cistina e suas relações com a lisina em rações para poedeiras leves no período de 79 a 95 semanas de idade

The objective of this experiment was to evaluate different levels of methionine+cystine and their relationships with lysine for light commercial laying hens at 79 to 95 weeks of age. Molt induction was done when birds were at 73 weeks of age. It was used 288 Hy-line W-36 birds in a complete random design with six treatments, eight replicates and six birds per experimental unit. Birds were submitted to treatments which consisted of diets with increasing levels of digestible methionine+cysteine (0.769; 0.815; 0.860; 0.906; 0.951; 0.996). Digestible methionine+cystine:lysine relationships were 85, 90, 95, 100, 105 and 110. The following parameters were evaluated: feed intake (g/bird/day), egg production per bird per day (%), egg weight (g), egg mass (g/bird/day), feed conversion per egg mass (kg diet/kg eggs) and egg dozen (kg diet/egg dozen), birds viability (%), weight gain (g), weight (g) and percentage (%) of egg components (yolk, albumen and shell) and specific gravidity (g/cm3). A quadratic effect was found for laying rate. There was no significant difference of treatments for the other variables assessed. It is concluded that requirement value of methionine+cystine of light laying hens at 79 to 95 weeks of age was 0.879% with intake of 835 mg of these amino acids and that the relationship digestible methionine+cystine:lysine was 97.
