Resumo: The jequitibá-rosa (Cariniana estrellensis (Raddi) Kuntze) and the pau-jacaré (Piptadenia gonoacantha (Mart.) Macbr.) are native species with great potential of utilization for use by the forest sector brazilian, which are distinguished by the diversity of uses for their wood. Currently, these species have the seeds as the main form of propagation in the process of plants production. The objective of this work was to develop methods for vegetative propagation for jequitibá-rosa (Cariniana estrellensis (Raddi) Kuntze) and the pau-jacaré (Piptadenia gonoacantha (Mart.) Macbr.) by the technique of cutting, where were tested different dosages (0, 2.000 and 6.000 mg L-1) of growth regulator ácido indolbutírico (IBA) and type of cutting (apical, intermediate and basal) using propagules vegetative juvenile of seminal source. Three evaluations were realized (a greenhouse for 120 days, the shade house for 140 days and a full sun for 170 days) in the case of the pau-jacaré was also tested two types of substrate (vermiculite and compost organic) applying 6000 mg L-1 of IBA. In the jequitibá-rosa the IBA dosages were tested in two time periods (seasons). For both species, in the evaluations were quantified survival, rooting (root seen in the bottom of the tube), force and height, and biomass of root and shoot at the end of the experiments. For both species, application of IBA did not show a clear trend on the effects in the characteristics evaluated; however, the type of cutting, the apexes showed the highest values for the characteristics studied. The stump of both species showed a survival of 100% with an upward production of cuttings. In the case of the substrate, the organic compost presented great values in the rooting of the cuttings of pau-jacaré in relation to the vermiculite. How much to the effect of the period of year in the propagation of jequitibá-rosa, in the period from August to January the average values of the characteristics evaluated were lower compared with those obtained in the period of May to October. Concluded that the propagation vegetative of the jequitibá-rosa and of the pau-jacaré by the technique of cutting with cuttings of seminal origin is technically viable, mainly when they used stem cutting, without need of use of AIB.

Macbr.) são espécies nativas com grande potencial de utilização pelo setor florestal brasileiro, as quais se destacam pela diversidade de usos de suas madeiras. Atualmente, estas espécies têm a semente como principal forma de propagação nos processos de produção de mudas. O objetivo deste trabalho foi desenvolver metodologias para a propagação vegetativa do jequitibá-rosa (Cariniana estrellensis (Raddi) Kuntze) e do pau-jacaré (Piptadenia gonoacantha (Mart.) Macbr.) por meio da técnica de estaquia, onde foram testados diferentes dosagens (0, 2.000 e 6.000 mg L-1) de regulador de crescimento ácido indolbutírico (AIB) e tipo de estaca (apical, intermediária e basal) utilizando propágulos vegetativos juvenis de origem seminal. Foram realizadas três avaliações (casa de vegetação aos 120 dias, casa de sombra aos 140 dias e pleno sol aos 170 dias) após o estaqueamento; no caso do pau-jacaré testaram-se também dois tipos de substrato (vermiculita e composto orgânico) aplicando 6.000 mg L-1 de AIB. Em jequitibá-rosa as dosagens de AIB foram testadas em dois períodos de tempo (épocas do ano). Para as duas espécies, nas avaliações, foram quantificadas a sobrevivência, enraizamento (raiz observada na extremidade inferior do tubete), vigor e altura, bem como a biomassa do sistema radicular e parte aérea ao final dos experimentos. Para ambas as espécies, a aplicação de AIB não mostrou uma tendência clara sobre os efeitos nas características avaliadas; no entanto, quanto ao tipo de estaca, as apicais foram as que apresentaram maiores valores para as características estudadas. As cepas de ambas as espécies mostraram sobrevivência de 100% com produção ascendente de estacas. No caso do substrato, o composto orgânico apresentou valores superiores no enraizamento das estacas de pau-jacaré em relação à vermiculita. Quanto ao efeito da época de ano na propagação de jequitibá-rosa, no período de agosto a janeiro os valores médios das características avaliadas foram menores com relação aos obtidos no período de maio a outubro.
