Irrigação e adubação nitrogenada do Pinhão Manso (Jatropha curcas L.) na região Leste de Minas Gerais

Resumo: | The jatropha (Jatropha curcas L.) is one of the main crops for biofuel production and the eastern region of Minas Gerais can be a potential producer because of its rainfall, temperature and soil conditions. This work aimed to evaluate the response of jatropha subjected to different irrigation water depths, nitrogen fertilization dosis and two spacings in this region. The study was conducted on the campus II of the Universidade Vale do Rio Doce (UNIVALE) located in the city of Governador Valadares, Minas Gerais State. The experiment was conducted in a split split plot scheme, with two spaces in the plots, five irrigation depths in subplots and four nitrogen dosis in subsubplots. A line source sprinkler irrigation system was used to differentiate the applied water deths. A significant effect of spacing, irrigation depths and days after transplanting was found for both height and diameter, however, only height showed significant effects for the dosis of nitrogen. Regarding productivity, the average yield was 397.0 kg ha-1 in the first harvest (acumulated until 10/12/2009) and 795.2 kg ha-1 in the second one (accumulated until 05/06/2010), and total mean was 596.1 kg ha-1. An interaction was observed between the spacing factors versus depth of irrigation, however no significant effect of nitrogen factor in the first harvest. For the second harvest, the effect of irrigation on yield was not significant. The highest yield of jatropha (458.8 kg ha-1) was achieved with application of 971 mm in the first harvest, and 679 mm in the second crop (819.6 kg ha-1). For nitrogen dosis, the highest yield (449.7 kg ha-1) was achieved with application of 50 kg N ha-1 in the first harvest, and 150 kg N ha-1 in the second one (923.7 kg ha-1). The space that provided the highest yield was 2x1 m, with values of 412.5 kg ha-1 in the first harvest and 818.2 kg ha-1 on the second one. The crop coefficient (Kc) of jatropha average of 0.41 was found for stage I (0 to 20 days after transplanting), 0.66 for stage II (21 to 90 days) and 0.95 for stage III onwards (91 days before). With this values, it was simulated the soil water balance and found that the water use efficiency (WUE), for the first harvest, had a significant quadratic effect of the water depth, while for the second crop both the water depth as the nitrogen dosis provided significant quadratic effect in the WUE. It was not observed in any significant effect of crop spacing in the WUE. For the first harvest, the largest WUE (61.8 g m-3) was found to application of 776 mm and 150 kg N ha-1, and for the second one, the largest U.S. (242.1 g m-3) was for the application of 679 mm and 150 kg ha-1 N. |

A região leste de Minas Gerais apresenta-se como uma potencial produtora da cultura devido aos seus índices pluviométricos, temperatura e condições do solo. Objetivou-se, com esse trabalho, avaliar a resposta do pinhão manso submetido à diferentes lâminas de irrigação, doses de nitrogênio e espaçamentos. O trabalho foi realizado no campus II da Universidade Vale do Rio Doce (UNIVALE), situado no Município de Governador Valadares-MG. O experimento foi conduzido em esquema de parcelas subsubdivididas, tendo nas parcelas dois espaçamentos, nas subparcelas cinco lâminas de irrigação e nas subsubparcelas quatro doses de nitrogênio. Para diferenciar as lâminas, usou-se um sistema de irrigação por aspersão em linha. Houve efeito significativo do espaçamento, da lâmina de irrigação e dos dias após transplantio tanto para altura quanto para diâmetro, porém, apenas a altura apresentou efeito significativo para a dose de nitrogênio. Com relação às produtividades, a média foi de 397,0 kg ha-1 na primeira safra, colheita acumulada até 10/12/2009, e 795,2 kg ha-1 na segunda safra, colheita acumulada até 05/06/2010, com média geral de 596,1 kg ha-1. Observou-se interação entre os fatores espaçamento versus lâmina de irrigação. Para a segunda safra, o efeito da lâmina de irrigação na produtividade não foi significativo, enquanto que o fator nitrogênio proporcionou efeito significativo. A maior produtividade do pinhão manso (458,8 kg ha-1) foi alcançada com aplicação de 971 mm na primeira safra, e para 679 mm na segunda safra (819,6 kg ha-1). Para a dose de nitrogênio, a maior produtividade (449,7 kg ha-1) foi alcançada com aplicação de 50 kg ha-1 N na primeira safra, e para 150 kg ha-1 N na segunda safra (923,7 kg ha-1). O espaçamento que proporcionou a maior produtividade foi 2x1 m, com valores de 412,5 kg ha-1 na primeira safra e 818,2 kg ha-1 na segunda. O coeficiente de cultura (Kc) médio do pinhão manso encontrado foi de 0,41 para o estádio I (0 a 20 dias após transplantio), 0,66 para o estádio II (21 a 90 dias) e 0,95 para o estádio III em diante (91 dias em diante). De posse dos valores de Kc, simulou-se o balanço hídrico e verificou-se que a eficiência de uso de água (EUA), para a primeira safra, teve efeito quadrático significativo da lâmina de água, enquanto que, para a segunda safra, tanto a lâmina de água quanto a dose de nitrogênio proporcionaram efeito quadrático significativo na EUA. Não foi verificado em nenhuma das safras efeito significativo do espaçamento na EUA.
