Da redoma para o público: análise do processo de recontextualização do discurso científico em divulgativo no Jornal da UFV

In this study, we aim to identify how the process of recontextualization of scientific discourse to scientific divulgation discourse occurs in the Journal of UFV. For that, we analyzed five reports of scientific divulgation published between October, 2010 and October, 2011 that were titles on the first page the Journal of UFV. In addition to these reports, we analyzed interviews and scientific articles that preceded the recontextualization. The theoretical-methodological support in order to organize the analytical process was based on the critical discourse studies (FAIRCLOUGH, 2001, 2003; VAN LEEUWEN, 2008), focusing on Systemic-Functional Linguistics (HALLIDAY and MATTHIESSEN, 2004), interfacing with the studies developed by Scientific Divulgation Discourse Analysis (CALSAMIGLIA et. al., 2001; CASSANY, LÓPEZ and MARTI, 2000; CIAPUSCIO, 1997). From the theoretical discussion and analysis, we noted that there are two discursive communities involved in the process of recontextualization of scientific divulgation discourse in Journal of UFV, which are: researchers, inserted in the practice of scientific knowledge dissemination , and who have as communicative purposes presenting the research and validate it, and journalists, embedded in practice dissemination of scientific knowledge, with the purpose of informing about the research and exalt it. Between these two distinct communities, lies the interview that, as a representative of the practice of scientific knowledge verification, enable a closer relationship between researchers and journalists. In this sense, the process of recontextualization of the articles is influenced by social practices, discursive communities and by communicative purposes involved. From them, the journalist uses discursive procedures, among which predominate the use of reduction to highlight the benefits and the purposes of the research. It was also possible to note the recurrence of material processes to represent the research, the researcher and UFV, in the reports. This demonstrates the efficacy of this University, and the use of assumptions and attributes to highlight the potential of the research and, together with it, exalt the researcher and UFV.
