A construção dos dados foi feita através da observação direta e entrevistas semi-estruturadas, as quais foram transcritas e analisadas pela técnica de Análise de Conteúdo. Os dados revelaram que a efetivação da integralidade do cuidado está longe de se tornar uma realidade, e as dificuldades para alcançá-la foram sentidas pelas profissionais entrevistadas sob diferentes aspectos, quais sejam: o silêncio das usuárias, a fragilidade do vínculo profissional e também a falta de capacitação para trabalhar as questões afeitas à saúde sexual e reprodutiva. Entretanto, apesar de reconhecerem as dificuldades para promoverem ações integrais, as equipes de saúde não se mobilizam para transformar essa realidade.This qualitative study, through a case study, sought to with the professionals who work at the Family Health Program-PSF, identify which aspects weaken or intensify the promotion of thorough health services, in the sexual and reproductive field. Data was collected thorough direct observation and structured interviews which were transcribed and analyzed by content analysis. The data revealed that the effectiveness of thorough care is far from becoming a reality, and the difficulties to reach it, were felt by the professionals interviewed in different aspects such as: the silence of the patients, the fragility of the professional bond and also the lack of professional training to deal with questions related to sexual and reproductive health.
