O processo de reinserção social de apenados: uma análise comparativa de trajetórias de vida

The problem of this research was guided by both the Brazilian penitentiary system, characterized by the inhuman conditions of incarceration environments and the lack or low effectiveness of rehabilitation and resocialization programs for the social reintegration of inmates, and in the process of stigmatization and discrimination of the ex-convict, which hinder their integration into working life and family. In research, we considered two ways to fix existing criminal: the confinement and seclusion with common application programs of socialization. The study, which was held in the city of Piumhi-MG, next to Unit Prison policy as well as in Viçosa- MG, the system of the Association of Protection and Assistance to the Convicted (APAC). The main objective was to analyze the process of social reintegration of inmates, considering both the ability of resocialization programs in providing conditions for autonomy and improved quality of life, the strategies for social rehabilitation, given the reality of their life trajectories. This qualitative study consisted of a descriptive and comparative, through documentary analysis, semi- structured interviews and focus groups. It was interviewed 03 prison guards and 05 graduates from Prison Unit Piumhi, 04 officers, 12 inmates and 06 graduates from APAC of Viçosa. The results showed that the use of socio-educational practices Laborterapica and spirituality, as well as training workshops, courses and lectures, provided the inmates of APAC for the possibility of more effective rehabilitation, compared to the Common Jail inmates. The path of life was marked by an atmosphere of exclusion, reframe of beliefs and values and usages of the prisoner to society. The egresses of both correction schemes made use of their social and family networks as a strategy for reintegration into society, seeking the fulfillment of their life projects and overcome the prejudice and social discrimination. For this audience, independence and quality of life are synonymous with freedom, family closely linked to the components and decent employment. Thus, the perception of inmates, the reinsertion factor was strongly associated with access to the labor market and support from family networks, seen as essential to self-determination, rehabilitation and deinstitutionalization. Accordingly, it can be concluded that the reconstruction process of life and social reinsertion of detainees depends on both the awareness and public support involved with the prison environment and the society in general, especially the networks of close to that given socio cultural and economic adversity, it is possible to mobilize resources and create opportunities for human and social development. The socio educational practices, focusing on professional training and socialization contribute to the penalty and is individualized not only works as a vehicle for punitive retribution, but as a means of conditioning and preparation for release and reintegration into society. Thus, in planning and implementation of public policies in our country, the legal and administrative measures should consider that the inmates are not just numbers on a statistic to be presented to society, but rather unique individuals with different family realities, unique in their desires and specific life projects, which should be supported, guided by relationships on reciprocity, that actually occurs rehabilitation, social rehabilitation and social reintegration.
